Dairy Crest Keynsham Dairy Crest Keynsham is a Milk and food distribution depot. We were asked by our clients to build a large cold store to fill their need for a distribution depot to cover the Bristol area. We worked closely with the client’s project manager and also the depot manager to make sure the design met all of their requirements. The room itself was 7.5m wide by 32m long and 2.7m high, it was erected with 6 large sliding doors and 1 personnel door. One door was made good to an exterior wall, at one end of the cold store. The refrigeration systems were installed by our fully qualified engineers to maintain a temperature between +1°C and +3°C. Finally the cold store was finished with door protection to all sliding doors, Aluminium sheet and angle iron to protect the walls and anti-corrosive light fittings including emergency lighting throughout. This project was commissioned and completed in the quoted six week time frame, which included the installation of a smaller cold store 6m x 4m x 2.4m also to maintain +1°C to +3°C.
